These Terms & Conditions govern use of the Metrobuild website and purchases made from Metrobuild Building & Construction Suppliers Pty Ltd. By accessing the website, creating an account, submitting an order or purchasing goods from Metrobuild, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
2.1 Website use
Users must use the website lawfully and must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another user account, interfere with website operation or security, provide false or misleading information, misuse website content, or use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
2.2 User roles
Guest users
Guest users may browse publicly available products, product information and website content and may be able to purchase at standard retail pricing where guest checkout is enabled.
Registered customers
Registered customers may access functions such as saved account details, online ordering, previous orders and other website features made available by Metrobuild.
Trade customers
Approved trade customers may receive access to trade pricing, account-specific pricing, discounts, special offers, purchasing arrangements or other account benefits determined by Metrobuild. Approval is at Metrobuild’s discretion and may require business details and verification.

Credit account customers
Credit facilities are subject to separate approval and Metrobuild’s Commercial Credit Terms. Any website account or trade status does not override separate commercial credit terms agreed between Metrobuild and the customer.
Website administrators and Metrobuild staff
Authorised Metrobuild personnel may have administrative access to manage products, orders, pricing, users, trade classifications, account settings, website content and other functions required to operate the website. Customers do not receive administrative rights.
Metrobuild may approve, refuse, suspend, change or terminate a user role or account where reasonably necessary, including suspected misuse, security concerns, overdue accounts or breach of these Terms.
2.3 Account security
Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their username, password and login information and should contact Metrobuild promptly if they believe their account has been accessed without authorisation.
2.4 Product information
Metrobuild endeavours to provide accurate product descriptions, specifications, images and technical information. Colours and finishes shown on screens may vary from physical products, images may be representative, packaging may change, and manufacturer specifications may be updated. Customers should confirm critical product characteristics before purchase.
Customers should review relevant manufacturer technical information, installation instructions, Safety Data Sheets and compliance documentation before use. General information provided by Metrobuild does not replace project-specific engineering, architectural, building-surveyor or other professional advice.
2.5 Pricing and GST
Website pricing will state whether GST is included or excluded. Delivery, freight, crane services, pallets, special handling, tinting, custom manufacturing and other additional charges may apply. Prices may change before Metrobuild accepts an order. Trade customers may see different pricing after logging into an approved account.
2.6 Quotations
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are subject to product availability, supplier price changes, freight changes, specification changes and the validity period shown on the quotation. A quotation or online enquiry does not require Metrobuild to supply goods until the order has been accepted.
2.7 Orders and availability
All orders are subject to Metrobuild acceptance and product availability. Metrobuild may contact the customer if stock is unavailable, quantities change, a pricing or website error occurs, additional freight is required, delivery cannot be completed as requested or further information is needed.
Where Metrobuild cannot supply an item already paid for, Metrobuild will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
2.8 Special orders
Products ordered specifically for a customer, specially manufactured products, cut materials, tinted coatings, custom colours and other non-standard items may not be cancelled or returned once processing or procurement has commenced, except where required by law.
2.9 Payments
Payment must be made using an accepted payment method. Metrobuild may require full payment or a deposit before goods are ordered, reserved or dispatched. Separate payment terms may apply to approved credit-account customers. Any card surcharge or payment fee will be disclosed where applicable and will comply with applicable law.
2.10 Delivery and collection
Orders are subject to the Shipping & Delivery Policy. Delivery dates and times are estimates unless Metrobuild expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
2.11 Returns and refunds
Returns, refunds, replacements and exchanges are governed by the Returns & Refund Policy and applicable Australian Consumer Law.
2.12 Manufacturer warranties
Some products may be covered by manufacturer warranties. Manufacturer warranties are additional to any non-excludable rights under Australian Consumer Law and do not replace those rights.
2.13 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Metrobuild will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from misuse of a product, incorrect installation, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or use of a product for an unsuitable application. Nothing in this clause excludes a liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
2.14 Intellectual property
Website content including Metrobuild branding, photographs, layouts, written content and graphics is owned by or licensed to Metrobuild unless otherwise stated. Manufacturer trademarks, logos, images and technical materials remain the property of their respective owners.
2.15 Third-party links
The website may contain links to manufacturer or third-party websites. Metrobuild is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites.
2.16 Changes to these terms
Metrobuild may update these Website Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes apply from publication of the updated version, subject to applicable law and existing contractual rights.
2.17 Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws.
